Dirt Roads & Dahlia Dreams

Welcome! I’m Victoria Buchanan—but most people know me as Torrie! I’m a proud mom of two: my son Kaden, 20, and my daughter Olivia, 14. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Daniel, for 21 years.

I grew up on a farm just northeast of the beautiful town of Soap Lake, WA, and now live just up the road from where I was raised. You’ll find Dirt Road Dahlias tucked away at the end of a quiet, dead-end dirt road—a little hidden gem where my love for flowers comes to life.

I’ve always loved making things pretty—mixing colors, textures, and varieties to create something special. But what I love most is seeing the joy flowers bring to people. This all started as a dream, sparked by a thoughtful gift from my dad—a “flower truck” for my one-day flower field. That simple gift lit a fire in me to make it happen.

I started researching dahlias and quickly realized these little tubers were pure magic. I dove in headfirst, and with my dad’s help—he’s a retired farmer who was eager to get back into the field—I got everything set up. Before I knew it, I was growing flowers for beautiful events, and it became clear: this is exactly what I was meant to do.

This year marks my first official season selling flowers, and I couldn’t be more excited to create beauty and share it with others. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!

Love - Torrie
